Mere hours after getting their polio vaccinations in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip — as part of a children’s immunization campaign — sisters Hanan Al-Daqqi and Misk Al-Daqqi were wounded in an Israeli airstrike on their home minutes after a humanitarian pause ended, leaving them as amputees.
