Pound Euro exchange rate: GBP/EUR falls as PM threatens to pull Brexit bill

The pound slumped against the euro this afternoon ahead of this evening’s crucial Brexit vote with the pairing currently trading at around €1.160. The pound was left under pressure today as investors waited to see if the UK will leave the European Union by the October 31 deadline as the Prime Minister has repeatedly promised.
