The announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and the United States was met in Lebanon with the war’s bloodiest day, as Israel launched a massive air campaign that its media termed “Operation Eternal Darkness.” The Israeli strikes killed and wounded hundreds, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signalled his intent to pursue Hezbollah regardless of international pressure.
