Canada’s growing profile in Antarctic research may get another boost in early 2026, as the commander of the Royal Canadian Navy confirms a possible second expedition is in the works, in collaboration with the Chilean navy. Climate scientists from the first all-Canadian expedition in March hope it offers the chance to collect more samples, as preliminary results come in from the earlier research mission.
