It might be an understatement to say Game 1 of the World Series went exactly as the Toronto Blue Jays planned. But in the end, they checked all the boxes — and invented one of their own with Addison Barger’s history-making grand slam. They emerged with an 11-4 victory over defending-champion Dodgers, marking Toronto’s first World Series win since Joe Carter touched ’em all in 1993.
