Blue Jays’ Straw in midst of career season after almost quitting baseball

Toronto Blue Jays centre-fielder Myles Straw makes a diving catch during the sixth inning of a MLB regular-season game against the hometown Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park on May 11, 2025 in Washington.

The Blue Jays traded for Myles Straw in January, along with cash and international signing pool space apparently to be used to acquire free-agent pitcher Roki Sasaki, who signed elsewhere. Straw saw it as a chance to revitalize his career and has been a regular in Toronto’s outfield.
