Tigst Assefa posts women’s-only world mark in London Marathon, Sebastian Sawe wins men’s race

Tigst Assefa of Ethiopia secured her first London Marathon title after pulling away from Joyciline Jepkosgei on the way to a women’s-only world record in two hours 15 minutes 50 seconds on Sunday. Kenya’s Sebastian Sawe cruised to victory in the men’s race.
