Benjamin Netanyahu meets with Donald Trump in Washington on Tuesday, to chart a strategy to “remake” the Middle East, on the day negotiations are meant to resume to prolong the ceasefire in Gaza. But in Israel and far beyond, doubts persist about the Israeli leader’s motives.
