13 killed in furnace explosion at Chinese-owned nickel plant in Indonesia

A smelting furnace exploded Sunday in Palu on Sulawesi island, killing at least 13 in the latest deadly incident at nickel plants in Indonesia that are part of China’s transnational development program known as the Belt and Road Initiative.
