Stanfords: Iconic map and travel bookshop’s free exhibition is a must for adventure lover

Stanfords, the home to the world’s largest collection of maps, travel books and globes, is holding an unmissable free display of its archive in London’s Covent Garden. Just the thing to see at New Year, a prime time for itchy feet, the treasure trove was discovered when the iconic retailer, which has been trading since 1901, moved a few streets to a bigger shop and cafe in Mercer Walk.
