Pound Euro (GBP/EUR) exchange rate muted as Farage’s Brexit Party demand PM abandon deal

The pound was left flat against the euro this afternoon, with the pairing currently trading around €1.159 as Brexit party leader, Nigel Farage presented the Prime Minister with an ultimatum. Sterling was left flat as Mr Farage surprised political analysts by denouncing Boris Johnson’s EU-endorsed deal and announcing his party will fight the Conservatives for every seat if the deal is not abandoned.
