Larry David’s second Saturday Night Live hosting gig did not go off without a hitch. The Jewish comedian is under fire for a controversial monologue he delivered on the NBC late-night show that included a joke about concentration camps. As part of his monologue, the Curb Your Enthusiasm alum stated that he consistently strives to be “a good Jewish representative.” But Larry David then went into a string of Jewish-themed jokes which had some viewers up in arms.
“I’ve always been obsessed with women, and I’ve often wondered if I’d grown up in Poland when Hitler came to power and was sent to a concentration camp, would I still be checking out women in the camp?” David said during his monologue. The comedian then went on to muse about “flirting” with women in a concentration camp.
