As the Sun-Sentinel reports, the horrific situation began after 25-year-old Rubi Ramirez of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was taken to the hospital, purportedly suffering from abdominal pain. According to hospital staff and investigators, the Florida woman gave birth in a hospital restroom at Broward Health Medical Center, abandoning her newborn baby in the trash immediately afterward.
