Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder and boyfriend Patrick Meagher have broken up after about 2 years of on and off dating.
During a recent episode of her Podcast series, Straight Up With Stassi, Stassi Schroeder confirmed the news she originally broke on her Twitter page earlier this month.
“We’ve broken up and gotten back together so many times, it was like, ‘Goda****, we can’t do this pattern anymore, this routine of breaking up and getting back together every month,’” Stassi Schroeder explained to her listeners, according to a report by Radar Online on July 23.

Stassi Schroeder and Patrick Meagher’s relationship began at the end of Vanderpump Rules Season 2. At the time, Schroeder had become overwhelmed by the drama between her and her co-stars at SUR Lounge and quit her job to move to New York City where Meagher was living. However, despite rumors of her possible exit from Vanderpump Rules, Stassi Schroeder returned to Los Angeles before filming began on Season 3 and took on a reduced role as she and Meagher settled into their west coast apartment.
While Stassi Schroeder and Patrick Meagher continued to live with one another for some time, the couple ultimately decided to live separately and during Vanderpump Rules Season 4, Schroeder was seen moving in with Kristen Doute. Also during Season 4, Stassi Schroeder admitted that things between her and Meagher were far from stable.
Continuing on to her Podcast listeners, Stassi Schroeder explained why she decided to tweet, and then delete, news of her breakup to fans.
“I feel like I tweeted it because I deserve and he deserves so much better than this relationship where no one ever knows if we’re together or apart. We deserve something stable or steady,” she said.
“This is a whole different type of break-up,” Stassi Schroeder explained. “It’s like a whole different type of thing. I didn’t lose any feelings for him. None of that changed. It’s just, like, I can’t handle this. Like, you don’t fit into my life. You don’t try to fit into my life enough, and we keep fighting, and I can’t handle breaking up all the time.”

While Stassi Schroeder and Patrick Meagher broke up frequently during their 2-year relationship, the reality star seemed sure that this split would be their last.
“Normally, when we’ve broken up, I don’t get that upset because I feel like it’s going to be OK, you know what I mean? I don’t feel that way,” she admitted. “I’m trying to be an independent, strong, 28-year-old woman who doesn’t want to settle for this weird pattern. And it’s not about settling for him. He’s a wonderful man. Nobody would be settling by being with him. It’s settling for the way that we are together. I can’t settle for that.”
Stassi Schroeder is currently filming the fifth season of Vanderpump Rules in Los Angeles. However, because Meagher has failed to appear on the show up until this point, it is hard to say how much of their split will be featured on the series. That said, fans will likely see plenty of Stassi Schroeder throughout the season as she’s been spotted with her co-stars, including Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney, a lot in the last couple of months.
Stassi Schroeder and her co-stars will return to Bravo later this year for Vanderpump Rules Season 5. A premiere date for the upcoming installment has not yet been set.
