Gwyneth Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin only recently finalized their divorce after a lengthy two years of separation. The former couple seems to still be able to enjoy one another’s company and is showing the world what it was that they meant by their “conscious uncoupling” announcement they made back when they initially split.
Most recently, Paltrow and Martin have been spotted soaking up the sun in the posh Hamptons neighborhood and are proving that a break up doesn’t need to result in the end of a close friendship.

As Wonderwall shares, 39-year-old Martin arrived via private helicopter to the Long Island affluent summer paradise with the pair’s 10-year-old son Moses, on Saturday to join Gwyneth, who has been hard at work in Manhattan working on her successful lifestyle brand, Goop. Chris has been on tour with his band Coldplay, yet made the journey to take a break and to spend time with his two children, as the Daily Mail shares.
The former beloved couple have never done things the conventional way, and are admired for their honest decision about their relationship. Paltrow and Martin finalized their divorce just last week after both parties agreeing that neither would have to pay spousal support. It was back in March of 2014 when the two made headlines for their announcement within which they stated they were “consciously uncoupling.” The world wondered what that meant, and now we see that it simply means maturely ending a long- lasting and loving relationship due to realizing it is time to move on.

The amicable exes have each done just that. Both Gwyneth and Chris have moved on in their respective relationships while keeping their children and friendship a main priority. The publication dishes on the former couple’s new romances.
“Chris is currently dating ‘Peaky Blinders’ actress Annabelle Wallis. The 31-year-old actress has been keeping quiet about her low-key relationship with the rocker, but posted several snaps backstage of Coldplay shows, including the band’s headlining show at Glastonbury on June 26. Meanwhile, Gwyneth has been going strong with “American Horror Story” producer Brad Falchuk since the summer of 2014.”
Paltrow told BBC’s HARDTalk about the pride she takes in her friendship with Chris, and that the exes remain close for the sake of their two children, Apple and Moses. The talent did note the challenges that the two have faced in getting to this place.
“As anybody who has been divorced knows, you have to put a lot aside to maintain the family and the practicalities of what that might mean and sometimes that’s quite tough on a personal level. It’s a commitment I make every day to my children and their father even though we’re not in a romantic relationship.”
Paltrow also proceeded to talk about the “conscious uncoupling” phrase that the two used to explain their separation and noted that it was a tough time for both of them.
“It was a difficult time in our lives. We didn’t know that the ‘conscious uncoupling’ phrase was going to inspire so much conversation. At the time people said, these people are crazy and it’s true, but over time now I hear people saying thank you for showing there is another way.”
The mother of two also went on to share that a break up does not mean the end of a family and noted that it’s best and easiest for the children if parents can keep their emotions separate and simply be there together for them.
